How To Get Back To The Old Me After A Baby?

So, how to get back to your old self after a baby?

The answer to this question is… YOU DON’T!

Let’s make this clear. You just had a baby. Whether it’s your first or your fifth, you have changed for the better. It may not seem like it, but you did.

You can however embrace your change, and start to feel better than yourself, with the help of some thoughtful products.

I will be honest, it took me 4 years and 3 kids to be able to feel energetic, somewhat happy and normal. I don’t want you to feel out of place for so long. This is why I am putting my story and my “help” out here for you.

I was very depressed. I felt lost, I never had time or energy to put effort into myself. Everything was for the kids, and sometimes my husband. No one ever said “what about mommy?”

After I had my third baby, I had gained a lot of weight that didn’t come off. Now here is the difference with myself, and you can judge all you want but no one has the same problems. All my life I had a hard time gaining and keeping weight. I can eat you under the table, so don’t say “oh it’s because you don’t eat.” My favorite meal is chopped bbq, potato salad, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, cranberry meatballs, dinner rolls, and ham, I can’t have all of this without ham. I also love banana pudding and sweet potato pie. This is not a thanksgiving meal. I have this combination three or four times a year, not including holidays. I have this when I get a craving, and I also have designated people to make certain dishes for me. So please, whatever you thought you knew about my lack of weight problem, think again.

After having my 3rd baby, I once again had postpartum depression. I needed to feel better, as well as find clothes other than my maternity clothes. I couldn’t stay in that funk I was in last pregnancy, so I went digging. I found a whole line of products that not only helped me feel better than before, but will help you as well. So, enough chit chatting, let’s get to the list!

For Your Postpartum Care:

This postpartum pad is all you would need after birth. You don’t have to add aloe, put it in the freezer, gel it, or anything else. Everything is already put together for you. Another staple that I could not live without after birth is Depends. Yes, I said DEPENDS! With the honey pot pads and the depends, you wouldn’t have to worry about leaks. I will be honest; I still use depends with my monthly menstrual. I love the comfort and the assurance of no leaks.

Work It Out

Some mamas incorporate working out and trying to snap back. I’ma be the one to tell you, I tried that. Turns out I got more energy watching the videos on YouTube. I do love my Waist Trainer Wrap. It is one size, and it’s a wrap so you can adjust it to your size. It also hides under your clothes really well, and I love to wear it around the house to help with my posture, and to keep my tummy in. I am happy with that; doesn’t mean you have to be.

Make Time

The best way to take care of you, is making time for you. You may have to put a timer, you may have to get up earlier or stay up a bit later, but make that time for you. Shoot, I have washed my face at 2 in the afternoon a few times. You have to make time for you to find the road to become a better you. Now with some of these treats comes other treats like getting your hair and nails done. Me setting time to just moisturize my hair has been a big thing for me.

Truth of the matter is… You have to treat yourself. You have to do for you to feel better. Please, please, please don’t wait for anyone to buy you something, not even your significant other. It feels great treating and gifting yourself. You can become a better you, for you and your family, by taking care of you.
